Hey guys,

Please pray for Yi Jien (Aunty Kim Guat’s son and Yi Zheng’s brother) and their family. Please pray for Mike Gugg and his family as well. I have no doubts that God has a reason for everything but its definitely hard sometimes. For those discouraged by the actions of some people, do focus your eyes on God the author and perfector of our faith. Man will be man..and we all stumble and fall….at least Mike Gugg admitted to what he did although it came rather late I must say. I’m not saying what he did was right, in fact it definitely was wrong but I wont be surprised if God has bigger plans for him. Didn’t King David tapao some ones husband? All I know is that God works in mysterious ways and I think this could very well serve as a wake up call to everyone. As much as I love Planet Shakers and Hillsongs we should never forget what our focus should be, and this situation reminds us to focus on God and Him alone.

My plea to everyone involved in the worship and music ministry is to always always be humble and to always remember what and who you are doing it for. It is so easy to get caught up in the music and your instruments and even techniques. Thats something I’m constantly struggling with as well…

Hey guys!

I’m back! Been a bit busy with work and everything else so my apologies for not updating it sooner! Yes Mei Yan i know im an old man and im very slow! muahaha great job with the CG though, keep it up! Man, where do I begin?! One thing’s for sure- “There is NO one like our GOD!” hehe…Ill try to recap from where I left off..

1. Work- Its been good so far! I’ve been getting sick a little more often than I should lately but apart from that, no complains lar….i mean there are ups and downs but that’s life! A word of caution for those who have yet to join the working world- “people are gonna scold you and snap at you and bark at you even though its not your fault!” haha so take everything with a grain of salt and hang in there…my mum always said- dun be so senstive lar in life! Good advice! Got a new Compaq Laptop as part of my company’s own your own hardware scheme..its really helped me get my work done faster compared to the old laptop i used earlier.. Really happy although I had some trouble choosing the laptop that I wanted..hehe..

2. Cyberjaya- My work requires me to go to Cyberjaya occasionally as our servers are in Tm Net’s Data Center. Its a long drive but I quite enjoy it really. This is the part where it gets emo though..hahhaa cue the sad music (looks at keyboardist and nods. Keyboardist plays the I and IV progression) ok ok that was a worship team joke! What happened was that I was driving 90 km/h at least along one of the back roads of Cyberjaya….the next thing I know theres a Proton Savvy in front of me….i pressed my brakes and he passed by- at least 90 km/h as well…no stop signs or anything….I have no idea how that happened but if i had driven a little faster or was later by 2 or 3 seconds it would not have been a pretty picture…so thank you Lord!

3. My new hollowbody guitar- Got another guitar! I know i know..hehe Its really nice coz its really different! Changing the pickups in a bit so we’ll see….got it from Singapore…saw the ad for it on thursday, messaged the seller, bought a ticket on Friday and was in Singapore on Saturday and back in KL on Sunday! The things I do for a guitar..muahahha Stayed with Pheng Aun and as always was great to catch up with him and Cheng Sim! my brozzzzz along with LEEJJ

4. Passion Kl- Crazy stuff! Really inspiring and glory to God in the highest!!! Got alot of us thinking though which is greatlar! Saw my colleague Terrence there..man I bump into him everywhere! haha

5. Trac Worship Workshop in Ipoh- Again, all glory to God! That was some crazy crazy 2 and a half days. It didnt help that I had a crazy flu and my mum really wanted me to rest at home instead. So with my antibiotics and meds in my bag, my pillow, a 1.5l bottle of mineral water, 2 guitars, a 40 pound line 6 guitar amp , my pedalboard and my 2 bags I arrived in Ipoh not knowing what to expect…Thanks James for driving!

Being our first time, we had lots of issues and quite truthfully were not as prepared as we should have been…Chris Sam’s pedal decided to snap 30 seconds before we started and Daniel Khoo’s sustain pedal decided to go crazy halfway through too! haha..but it was honestly really good to see all the kids so excited about serving the Lord with their instruments…they were huddled everywhere with their guitars….had a good talk with some of the youths too who were really quite enthusiastic…I hope they were inspired to serve the Lord with the gifts that God has given them and will continue to improve themselves…..but overall, it was a good camp with good food and good people…aunty Judy and her family were really nice…the band and group are awesome and of course some my fav ppl in the world..love u guys!!! hahaha…I believe the Lord has truly put us together for a reason and I’m humbled that he will use us to do His work…greater things are yet to come! JC rocks!

6. Lain Lain- Pw merger coming up!- retreats and training! uh oh!! Vincent is back (check out my 1st post) and Lyd will be back in 11 days! Man…i havent seen her for 8 months..haha…cant wait!!!!! and of course the 6 day YLDP at the end of the year!! super excited for that although its gonna be crazy! (as usual lar)
